Heavy rain overnight by dry this morning so a great chance to attack the clearing of the veg garden.
TC went muck spreading ( back) and I got the broad beans planted( front)
Its Friday afternoon and that means - petite gateaux de Sue. We first started going to the Friday evening dance workshop at Salles more than 3 years ago and one week I took along some maple and walnut cookies - they went down well! Gradually it turned into a tin of cookies every week - I have tried other recipes but no, it 's the maple and walnut they like. Now I feel I would a pretty good excuse to turn up without them. I don't mind though , they are quick and easy to make and its nice that they are appreciated. These French ladies are very keen on their patisserie and its very gratifying to pass the test and be asked for the recipe. This afternoon I have been translating my recipe for tarte au citron for a French friend at patchwork - she has told everyone its the most amazing she's ever had -WOW!
