Our house is in Tarn et Garonne, the other side of the road is Lot, we shop mostly in Aveyron and many of our friends are in Tarn -a few weeks ago I opened a group facebook page as an experiment to see if anyone is interested in a page especially for us who "live on the edge" where Tarn et Garonne meets Lot meets Aveyron meets Tarn - a page for those us who are always crossing boundaries - sharing news, events and things for sale ·
Why bother? There is already a page called "The Tarn et Garonners" but its members are mostly in the larger western part of Tarn et Garonne and there seemed to be a gap here. It is also,I admit , another attempt to find ways of spreading the word about Folk'n'jazz. Folk'n'jazz does have its own facebook page but as yet not many people know about it. Its not just folk'n'jazz that could benefit though, there are lots of events going on in the area , its hard to keep up with them all and its always good to get some free publicity
It is definitely NOT a blog (they exist elsewhere), it will only work if lots of people use it and contribute. A couple of people have posted things already. I have no intention of acting as editor except to remove spammers. So I am watching this space as they say - so far there is one member who I don't know personally but its a start and it is early days
